Why should I come all the way to WA for a Ulysses Club Rally?
A
Because if you have not done it before you will have the great adventure of your life crossing this great country via the Nullarbor Plain (or via the other iconic routes for the truly adventurous!). You will find plenty of things to see and do in WA.

Will there be signage to help direct me to the Rally site?
A
Yes – subject to Council and Main Roads Dept. approval we will have directional signs in place (Once approved a link to an example will be here)

What transport is available from the Rally site to Perth?
A
Bus from shopping centre opposite the Rally venue to the Mandurah CBD and the train station. Train to Elizabeth Quay Perth Central Railway Station – approximately 60 minutes with stops. Checkout TransPerth link here: Links

How do I get from Perth Airport to Mandurah by public transport?
A
Take a TransPerth bus from the Airport (Route 380 from T1-2) (Route 40 from T3-4) to Elizabeth Quay Station and then a train to Mandurah. Check out the Perth Airport link here: Links

Are there any other events on around the time of the Rally?
A
Crabfest is being held on 20th and 21st March 2021 on the Mandurah foreshore. Well worth attending. Links

What facilities are close to the Rally venue?
A

Is there a laundromat nearby?
A
Yes – one across the road, with three others in town.Venue Map

Will there be a laundry service available on the Rally site?
A
We are negotiating with a local provider for a daily pick-up and delivery service – user pays.

Are medical facilities located nearby?
A
Yes – there is a medical centre and a pharmacy across the road from the Rally venue. Venue Map

Where is the nearest pharmacy located?
A
There is an extended hours 7 day pharmacy located about 100 metres from the venue's main gate.

Is there a local Hospital?
A

How can I get into central Mandurah by public transport?
A
The Rally venue is on a regular bus route. A regular bus (591, 593 & 594) runs from the shopping centre beside the Rally venue into central Mandurah and the Railway Station. Links

Will you be providing a shuttle bus into town?
A
No. There are regular bus services available from the shopping centre beside the Rally venue. Timetable information will be available at the Rally info stand or online. You can also download the TransPerth app. Links

How do I get to the Saturday dinner?
A
We will be arranging for shuttles buses to transport members – there will be a small fee to cover the cost.

What motorcycle services are available in Mandurah?
A
There are only a few motorcycle dealers remaining in Mandurah so plan early and book servicing requirements. Dealers are also located in the nearby town of Rockingham and, of course, Perth. Links

Where can I buy tyres in Mandurah or nearby?
A
Multiple national franchise outlets for car/4WD and caravan tyres. Links It is strongly recommended that you contact a supplier and make arrangements to order your tyres and book in for a service before coming to the Rally

Are there any special road rules I need to be aware of?
A

Any vehicle towing is limited to 100kph, unless otherwise restricted. General overall speed linit is 110kph. Strictly enforced - including by mobile cameras.

Any vehicle can be stopped and checked for excess loading. Significant penalaties apply

Tent City provisions = tent + 2 single cots with mattresses + two chairs + 12 volt light

What are the camping options?
A
- 6m x 6m sites for tents and small motorcycle campers
- 6m x 12m for larger campers, caravans and larger RVS

NOTE

RVs & and Tow vehicles can remain on site during the rally but cannot be moved until after the Rally concludes.
If you want to use your tow vehicle then it will need to be moved to the day parking area for the duration of the Rally.

Only motorcycles will be permitted access to and from the site during the Rally. All caravan and RV tow vehicles must either remain static on site for the duration of the Rally OR move to the parking area set aside for daily use.

What about power & water?
A
- Powered sites will be restricted to certified medical needs only
- Potable water will be available at various points in the camping area

Are there glass restrictions?
A
ABSOLUTELY! - The Rally site is a series of playing fields that are used by school and local sports club teams so we ask members to refrain from using glass drinking vessels due to the high risk of breakage.
- Beverages in glass (wine & Beer) is acceptable as long as the containers are disposed of safely – recycling bins will be available on site.
- If a breakage does occur you must report it to the venue team who will attend and vacuum the area to remove every last vestige of glass

What about Grey Water Waste Disposal?
A
- All grey water must be collected and disposed of via the black waste dump point.
- These are school playing fields so waste water must NOT be dumped on the ground

A

- Located off site at Greyhound Racing Club – Kanyana Park, Gordon Rd. Mandurah (https://tinyurl.com/yxnvtc45)
- Approximately 9km from the Rally site
- Shuttle buses will be provided – must be booked and paid for on the registration form.
- Shuttle collection will be from major accommodation venues within 5km of the centre of Mandurah
- Shuttle times will be advised closer to the Rally and when we have a better idea of who requires the bus and where they are located
- Cutoff date for bookings is 5pm AEST 12th March 2021
- Dinner menu to be advised when catering is finalised

What are the registration details?
A

Manual Registration will open when form is published in Riding On as directed by National Admin Office

Each financial member, in addition to themselves, is entitled to register ONE member or non-member guest.

Everyone attending the Rally must pay the registration fee, whether they are a member or a guest of a member, regardless of the amount of days they attend.

Registration fee includes unlimited entry to all areas and members will receive a welcome bag and lapel badge.

Will there be an "early bird" registration offer?
A
Early bird registrations received before 5 January 2021 will be entered into a draw for the chance to win our early bird registration prize.

Are there restictions on bringing animals?
A
- Acceptance of animals is at the discretion of the National Admin staff and National Committee
- Companion animals will be required to be registered and a $30 fee paid – they will be permitted in the campground area only
- Guide dogs will be permitted access to all member areas of the rally site at no charge but please register yours for our records
- Animals on site must be under owner control at all times – out of control animals will have to leave the site.
- Droppings MUST to be removed immediately and disposed of via rubbish bins.

Person under 18 years of age are not permitted on site except for public open day

What is the Refund Policy?
A

Due to the financial commitments by Ulysses Club Inc towards the 2021 National Rally the refund policy is as follows:
• Cancellations received after 5pm AEST 19 February 2020 will incur a $30.00 per person cancellation fee
• Applications for refunds for non-attendance must be submitted to the National Administration office before 5pm AEST 30 April 2021
No refunds will be provided for Tent City bookings if submitted after 5pm AEST 25 February 2021
No refunds will be provided for Dinner bookings if submitted after 5pm AEST 12 March 2021
No refunds will be issued for Commemorative Merchandise orders after 5pm AEST 25 January 2021

What if I need Vehicle Recovery?
A
NatCom have ruled that the club cannot provide a recovery vehicle for motorcycles due to insurance and cost issues.
Members will need to use their Auto Club Membership to obtain roadside services and towing or transport in the event of a breakdown or an accident.
Most Australian Auto clubs such as NRMA, RACV, RACQ etc should have reciprocal arrangements with RAC WA.
